Violations of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of ensuring measurement uniformity have been identified at one of the dental clinics in the city of Semey. The violations were established based on the results of an inspection of compliance with mandatory requirements in the provision of medical services.

The control measures were carried out by the Department of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Abai region, together with the bodies of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

It was established that measuring instruments that had not undergone mandatory verification in the prescribed manner were used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The use of unverified measuring instruments is a violation of the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on measurement uniformity.

In the healthcare sector, the use of verified measuring instruments is mandatory, as their accuracy directly affects the health and safety of patients.

«In medical practice, measurement accuracy directly affects the health and safety of patients. Measuring instruments are used in calculating dosages of medications and anesthesia, monitoring patient condition, and operating medical equipment. The use of unverified devices can lead to unreliable results and create risks for the quality and safety of the medical care provided», noted Zhanna Yessenbekova, Chairperson of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology.

Furthermore, there have been cases of adverse outcomes in the provision of dental care in the Republic of Kazakhstan, including in the city of Astana, which served as the basis for conducting inspection measures and strengthening control in this area.

Based on the results of reviewing the inspection materials, the organization has been held administratively liable. An administrative fine of 696,325 tenge has been imposed on the entity.
