Ljubljana, 26 February 2026 – During a meeting with the Head of the Diplomatic Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia, Ambassador Nataša Prah, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Slovenia, A. Abibullayev, highlighted the strong momentum and steady advancement of bilateral relations, including plans for the appointment of a new Slovenian Ambassador to Kazakhstan with residence in Ljubljana.

The Ambassador informed his counterpart about upcoming joint events marking the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Slovenia in 2027, as well as Kazakhstan’s achievements and strategic plans in the development of artificial intelligence and digital technologies, in light of the forthcoming Kazakhstan–Slovenia business forum AI Digital Bridge in Ljubljana.

The diplomats also exchanged views on improving diplomatic and visa‑accreditation procedures and reached agreement on several practical aspects of bilateral cooperation.
