«Constitutional Reform and New Horizons of Partnership: Kazakhstan’s Ambassador Delivers Lecture at Mongolia’s Academy of Sciences»

Ulaanbaatar, February 27, 2026 – Mongolia’s Academy of Sciences hosted, for the first time, a lecture by Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Mongolia, Almas Seitakynov, devoted to Kazakhstan’s contemporary development and the prospects for strengthening Kazakh - Mongolian cooperation.
The event was attended by the President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, S.Demberel, alongside more than 90 representatives of the academic and educational community - including heads of universities and research centres, researchers, as well as members of the local media.
In his remarks, the Ambassador set out Kazakhstan’s key political and economic reforms, emphasising that the constitutional changes are designed to reinforce the rule of law, modernise public administration and broaden citizens’ participation in decision-making. He also highlighted Kazakhstan’s steady economic growth and its expanding role as one of Central Asia’s leading transit hubs, with particular focus on infrastructure development, logistics and digital transformation.
Special attention was paid to the scope for deepening cooperation in trade and the economy, agriculture, logistics and digital technologies, as well as joint scientific work in ecology, water resources management and agricultural science.
The audience was also briefed on preparations for the Regional Environmental Summit 2026, envisaged as an open platform for practical solutions to climate and environmental challenges. The event concluded with an exchange of views, during which Mongolia’s scientific community expressed interest in expanding academic exchanges and expert cooperation with Kazakh partners.
