In order to support entrepreneurs and improve the quality of accounting and tax record-keeping, the Ministry of Finance, together with Professional Accountant Organizations (PAO), launched the “People’s Accountant” campaign on January 5, 2026. The campaign will run until June 30, 2026.

The main format is offline consultations at the regional state revenue offices in the cities of Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent.

Starting from March 2026, consultations will be held twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday) from 10:00 to 13:00. Consultation locations are marked with signs “People’s Accountant” with information about working hours and addresses.

During the campaign in January–February 2026, more than 38,000 taxpayers received consultations, and 879 open-door days were held.

The main topics included choosing the optimal tax regime and transition period, tax benefits and deductions, issuing electronic invoices, VAT thresholds, registration and deregistration for VAT under simplified and general accounting regimes, permitted types of activity for self-employed individuals, and many other issues.

Entrepreneurs and citizens are invited to take advantage of this opportunity to receive professional consultations free of charge and improve their tax literacy.
