Brussels, 27 February 2026 – The tourism potential of Kazakhstan was presented at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Belgium, bringing together more than 20 Belgian travel companies and representatives of Kazakh tour operators from Almaty. The event sought to establish direct business contacts and facilitate the inclusion of Kazakhstan in the Belgian tourism packages for the upcoming seasons.

The presentation was supported by the Kazakh Tourism national company, the Brussels office of Turkish Airlines, represented by Amina Kokten, as well as the Kazakh Tourism Ambassador in Belgium, Derya Soysal.

The program featured a series of B2B meetings and substantive negotiations between tour operators.

Opening the event, Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Belgium Roman Vassilenko said: “Today’s meeting is of a practical nature. We are interested in seeing Kazakhstan become a regular destination in the catalogues of Belgian tour operators. Our focus is on building sustainable partnerships and ensuring a long-term presence in the Benelux market.”

The Kazakh side presented routes in eco-tourism, cultural and educational travel, and adventure tourism, as well as tailored offers for premium small groups and individual travelers. Particular attention was paid to bespoke programs, natural attractions and opportunities for combined tours.

In 2025, around 6,200 Belgian citizens visited Kazakhstan, which is 15 percent higher than in 2024. This positive trend confirms the growing interest of the Belgian market in Kazakhstan and creates favorable conditions for further expanding tourism cooperation.

Chairman of Kazakh Tourism Talgat Gazizov noted on the occasion: “We observe steady interest from the European market in new destinations offering unique natural and cultural experiences. Our task is to ensure a high-quality product and professional support for our partners as we introduce Kazakhstan into new segments of the European tourism market.”

International media projects are also contributing to the growing attention to Kazakhstan. The new season of the French television show “Pékin Express: The Ice Route”, filmed in several regions of the country, is currently being broadcast in prime time and attracts an audience of over 3 million viewers.

Following the presentation, the parties expressed their interest in continuing the dialogue and developing joint tourism products tailored to the needs of European travelers, while promoting sustainable cooperation.
