Buenos Aires, March 5, 2026 – As part of a working visit to Argentina, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Federative Republic of Brazil, and concurrently to the Argentine Republic, Bolat Nussupov met with Chair of the Kazakhstan-Argentina Interparliamentary Friendship Group in the Chamber of Deputies of the National Congress of Argentina, Marcela Pagano and members of the group.

During the meeting, the Argentine side was informed of upcoming constitutional amendments aimed at comprehensive political and legal modernization of the state and the completion of the transition to a new stage of institutional development. It was also noted that a national referendum on the adoption of a new draft constitution is scheduled for March 15, 2026, during which citizens will make the final decision on the updated constitutional model.

During the conversation, the Kazakh diplomat expressed sincere gratitude to Ms. Pagano for her active work as Chair of the Friendship Group. The Ambassador also emphasized the significance of the first joint meeting of the parliamentary groups, held in December 2024, which marked a key step in the institutionalization of interparliamentary dialogue and laid a solid foundation for the further development of practical cooperation.

Furthermore, B.Nussupov noted Argentina's role as a reliable partner for Kazakhstan in Latin America, emphasizing Kazakhstan's strategic importance for Argentina in the Eurasian region. In this context, interparliamentary dialogue was characterized as an important element of political interaction, capable of providing additional impetus to the entire range of bilateral relations, including in the trade and economic spheres.

Following the meeting, the Kazakh side invited the Chair and members of the Argentine Friendship Group to visit Kazakhstan later this year for a second joint meeting in person and a more detailed examination of the country's political, economic, and investment potential.
