The Akim (Governor) of the Kostanay Region, Kumar Aksakalov, congratulated the women of the region on the holiday of March 8 – International Women's Day at a festive concert titled "The Light of Peace".

A woman, who has become a symbol of beauty and warmth, is the well-being of the family and the pillar of the home. She is a reliable life companion to her husband, a caring mother to her children, and a keeper of family traditions.

In the 21st century, Kazakhstani women are successfully proving themselves in science, education, medicine, public administration, business, culture, and international diplomacy. Modern women boldly master new professions. They choose to live in a free society and strive for a decent standard of living. At the same time, they remain the pillar of the family and the keepers of warmth and moral values.

"On the initiative of the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a constitutional reform focused on the individual is being implemented. It envisages the creation of comprehensive conditions for women, the protection of their rights, and the strengthening of the institution of the family as one of the priority areas of state policy. On this festive day, I wish you good health, great happiness, well-being, a spring mood, and new achievements. May peace, harmony, and joy reign in every home," noted the head of the region in his congratulatory address.

During the ceremonial event, the regional Akim presented state awards to women who distinguished themselves through their work in the region.

The festive gathering concluded with a concert program.
