Development of Kazakhstan–Israel Cooperation in the Field of Medicine

On March 19, 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Israel, Daulet Yemberdiyev, visited the Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva, one of the largest and most advanced medical centers in Israel, and held a meeting with its Director General, Professor Shlomi Codish. During the visit, the head of Soroka presented the history and unique experience of the institution, which is the only multidisciplinary hospital in the southern region of Israel providing high-quality medical services to more than one million people. The parties also discussed prospects for the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Israel in the field of healthcare. In particular, priority areas include advanced training courses and internships for Kazakhstani doctors and students of medical universities and colleges, as well as the participation of Kazakhstani and Israeli specialists in thematic medical conferences and symposiums held in both countries with the aim of exchanging experience and best practices.
