Akim of the Kostanay Region, Kumar Aksakalov, congratulated the residents of the region on the Nauryz holiday.

Today is a special day for our people. With the arrival of bright spring, everything around is renewed. Äz-Nauryz is a holiday of unity and well-being, a symbol of abundance. On this day, people congratulate each other, wishing health and goodness. This tradition is based on respect for elders and care for the younger ones. A generous dastarkhan is set in every home. On this day, kindness and mercy are especially glorified. All past grievances and misunderstandings are left behind.

Since time immemorial, we have attached special importance to this great holiday.

"Kazakhstan is going through a stage of large-scale political reforms. An important step was the adoption of a new Constitution aimed at building a Just State. Thanks to the course pursued by the Head of State, our country maintains stability, strengthens the economy, and creates conditions for improving the quality of life of citizens. Representatives of different nationalities live in peace and harmony. In the Kostanay land, the friendship of ethnic groups is not just words, but a visible manifestation of mutual respect and harmony in everyday life," noted the regional akim.

Today, the Kostanay Region is one of the steadily developing regions of the country. It is especially important to note the successful transformation of the region from an agrarian to an industrial-agrarian one. Currently, the region ranks fourth among the country's twenty regions in terms of manufacturing output. The region is a center of mechanical engineering, providing 25% of the industry's total production volume in the country. Furthermore, the region holds leading positions in the export of processed agricultural products and food production. And with the launch of the "Confectionery Capital" project this year, our region will become a major producer of confectionery products in the country.

In agriculture, 7 modern dairy farms have been commissioned, with another 7 under construction, 5 of which will be launched this year. In the road sector, 1,300 km of roads were repaired last year. Also, over 50 social facilities have been commissioned, including 20 educational facilities, 12 medical institutions, and 19 sports complexes. This year, the construction of two schools in Kostanay and a polyclinic in the village of Zarechnoye will be completed.

Projects aimed at forming a barrier-free society deserve special mention:
• a rehabilitation center for children has been opened on the basis of a former residence;
• construction of a physical culture and health complex for persons with disabilities is beginning;
• the first linear accelerator in the region for the treatment of oncological diseases has been launched in Kostanay.

A Table Tennis Center, a new "Octopus" aquapark, and a multifunctional stadium in the triathlon park area are also under construction. Three world-class hotel complexes - "Marriott", "Novotel", "Holiday Inn" - will be built, which will create 300 new jobs.
