On March 28, 2026, Sofia University «St. Kliment Ohridski» hosted its Open House Days.

The event was attended by students, faculty, and members of the foreign diplomatic corps representing Azerbaijan, Egypt, Kazakhstan, China, Indonesia, the media, and others.

Supported by Sofia University students, Kazakhstani diplomats presented the educational potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan, organized an exhibition of national costumes, and showcased the nation’s literary heritage.

The event drew significant interest from Bulgarian youth, particularly regarding Kazakhstan’s educational and tourism appeal, while further strengthening existing ties within the cultural and humanitarian spheres.

77 Kazakhstani students are studying in Bulgaria. At the Sofia University «St. Kliment Ohridski», one of the most prestigious universities in Southeastern Europe, operates the Al-Farabi Scientific, Educational and Cultural Center and the Center for the Study of the Kazakh Language, History and Culture.
