On March 27, 2026, Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Samarkand Talgat Sharipov met with the Acting Rector of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage «Silk Road» Mukhsinjon Kholmukhamedov.

         The current state and prospects of development of Kazakh-Uzbek cooperation in scientific, educational, academic, cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed at the meeting. Special attention is paid to the expansion of interuniversity cooperation, including through the establishment of direct contacts between higher education institutions of the two countries.

         The interlocutors expressed mutual interest in organizing joint events such as scientific conferences, academic exchanges, educational programs and cultural initiatives.

         At the end of the meeting, Talgat Sharipov confirmed his readiness to provide comprehensive support to initiatives aimed at strengthening scientific, educational, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
