On March 30, a festive event titled “Armysyń, Äz-Nauryz!” was held at the S. Seifullin Central Library of the Zhetysu Region as part of the “Evening Library” project. Students from Zhetysu University, Taldykorgan Higher Polytechnic College, and the Zhaksylik Ushkempirov Sports Boarding School-College actively participated in the event, gaining a deeper appreciation of national traditions and cultural heritage.

The main goal of the event was to promote the rich cultural heritage and national values of the Kazakh people among young people, fostering patriotism and respect for traditions. In addition, one of the key objectives was to engage library visitors in a cultural and intellectual environment and to organize meaningful leisure activities for youth.

During the event, the significance and essence of the Nauryz holiday were widely highlighted, and traditional customs of the Kazakh people were presented. Participants were asked questions about national dishes, customs, and beliefs, and were provided with informative insights. Special emphasis was placed on Nauryz as a symbol of renewal, unity, harmony, and creation.

National games became a highlight of the evening. Students competed in traditional games such as tug of war, asyk shooting, and arm wrestling, demonstrating their strength, agility, and quickness. These activities not only enhanced physical skills but also increased interest in national traditions.

The evening also featured music and dance performances. Participants dressed in traditional costumes added a special cultural flavor to the event. A book exhibition organized by the library staff attracted significant attention, showcasing literature on the history, culture, and traditions of the Kazakh people.

The event concluded with a ceremonial award presentation, adding a festive finale to the evening. The winning team, which demonstrated outstanding knowledge, creativity, and activity, was awarded a diploma and valuable prizes. Other participants were also recognized and received letters of appreciation.

Additionally, special nominations such as “Most Resourceful Reader” and “Best National Costume” were awarded.

The festive evening “Armysyń, Äz-Nauryz!” became a meaningful cultural event aimed at strengthening national identity and enriching the spiritual world of young people. Such initiatives play an important role in preserving cultural continuity and fostering respect for heritage.
