The State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan announces the adoption of Decision No. 34 of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission dated March 17, 2026 “On Amendments to the Procedure for Filling Out Passenger Customs Declarations and Performing Customs Operations Related to Changes (Additions) to Information Declared in Passenger Customs Declarations.”

In accordance with the aforementioned Decision:

🗓️ Effective April 19, 2026 (30 calendar days after the date of official publication—March 19, 2026), it will be mandatory to include IMEI codes in the passenger customs declaration when individuals import:

✔️smartphones;

✔️ mobile phones;

✔️tablets with cellular connectivity.

📍 The IMEI code must be entered in the appropriate field of the declaration.

📄 The remaining provisions of the Decision regarding the indication of address codes will take effect on April 1, 2027.

🔄 Please take these changes into account when moving goods across the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Union.
