Public servants, while in public service, are prohibited from engaging in any other paid activity, except for pedagogical, scientific, and other creative activities. This restriction is justified to comply with the requirements of Article 13 of the Law "On Public Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and Article 12 of the Law "On Combating Corruption". Failure to accept or comply with these restrictions results in denial of admission to public service or dismissal in accordance with the procedure established by law.

In this regard, the ethics officer of the Department of State Property and Privatization of the city of Shymkent, K. Sarypbekov, conducted explanatory work among public servants on the necessity of strictly observing the restrictions and prohibitions established by law, as well as preventing activities that contradict the requirements of legislation on public service and combating corruption.
