The implementation of the Regional Employment Roadmap is ongoing in the Aktobe Region, with plans to provide employment opportunities for 33,436 citizens this year. The progress of the program was reviewed during a staff meeting chaired by Akim of the Aktobe Region, Askhat Shakharov.

According to Lazzat Orazbayeva, Head of the Employment Coordination and Social Programs Department, since the beginning of the year, 12,194 people have been involved in various employment support measures. Of these, 5,208 residents have secured permanent and temporary jobs. In addition, 2,455 people have been employed under the President’s initiative “100 Jobs for Every 10,000 Residents.”

Particular attention is being paid to creating new jobs through the implementation of national projects and development concepts. This year, the region plans to create 3,343 jobs through 116 projects, including 982 permanent and 2,361 temporary positions. Currently, 55 projects are being implemented, providing employment for 1,615 people.

Efforts are also underway to support employment for socially vulnerable groups. Special job positions have been designated for persons with disabilities in both public and private organizations, while assistance is being provided to help them adapt to the labor market and secure employment.

Akim of the Aktobe Region Askhat Shakharov emphasized that employment promotion remains one of the key priorities of the region’s socio-economic development.

“Employment initiatives must be implemented systematically and focused on achieving tangible results. Every citizen seeking work should have access to state support measures and employment opportunities. It is necessary to intensify efforts to create new jobs and ensure the high-quality implementation of all planned indicators,” the regional governor stated.

Following the meeting, responsible government agencies and district akims were instructed to strengthen the implementation of measures under the Regional Employment Roadmap and ensure the achievement of all planned targets.
