Kazakhstan and Oman agreed on priorities for bilateral cooperation in the upcoming period

Muscat, June 23, 2026 - As part of coordinating efforts to intensify bilateral cooperation for the upcoming period, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Sultanate of Oman, Aidarbek Tumatov and Н.E. Ahmad Al-Maskari the Director of the Department of Central Asia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman.

Further joint actions for the current year were discussed. In the political sphere, particular attention was paid to the organization of official visits at the highest and high levels, which would allow bilateral relations to enter a new stage of development. The relevance of strengthening cooperation in the transport and logistics as well as trade and economic spheres was emphasized. In addition, the need to further expand the legal and contractual framework between the two countries was noted.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Kazakh diplomat underscored the importance of Oman as a transit hub, demonstrated amid the latest escalation of the situation in the Arab Gulf region.
