The Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea Aim to Deepen Business Partnership

Seoul, June 26, 2026 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Korea Asset Issenali held a meeting with Chairman of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) Jin Sik Yoon.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Kazakh-Korean trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as ways to further expand interaction between the business communities of the two countries.
Special attention was paid to strengthening direct contacts between business representatives, attracting Korean investment into Kazakhstan’s economy, implementing joint projects in industry, energy, transport and logistics, as well as expanding cooperation in innovation and high technologies.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the further development of economic cooperation in the context of the upcoming Central Asia - Republic of Korea Summit, emphasizing the importance of active participation by business communities in promoting joint initiatives and unlocking the significant potential of cooperation between the Republic of Korea and the Central Asian states.
Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening partnership, developing business ties and promoting new joint initiatives in the interests of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea.
Founded in 1946, the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) is the largest business association in the Republic of Korea, bringing together more than 77,000 member companies and playing a key role in developing international trade, supporting Korean businesses in overseas markets and expanding international economic cooperation.
