Kazakhstan and Pahang State Intend to Develop Economic Cooperation

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Malaysia Bulat Sugurbayev, during his working visit to Pahang State, held a series of meetings with the state leadership aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the areas of trade, economy, and investment.
During the visit, Ambassador Sugurbayev was received by the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah. The parties exchanged views on prospects for expanding cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pahang State, highlighting their mutual interest in developing economic ties, investment partnerships, and humanitarian cooperation.
In addition, the Ambassador held meetings with the Chief Minister of Pahang State Wan Rosdy bin Wan Ismail and the Mayor of Kuantan Zaliza binti Zulkifli. The discussions focused on specific areas of cooperation, including attracting investments, developing industrial cooperation, and strengthening ties between the business communities of Kazakhstan and Pahang.
Particular attention was paid to the development of transport and logistics connectivity. It was noted that the launch of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) railway project would create additional opportunities for establishing new logistics routes connecting Pahang, Kazakhstan, and Central Asian countries, as well as for expanding mutual trade and container transportation.
The parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further deepening cooperation and agreed to continue working-level contacts to develop concrete initiatives.
