At the Government meeting chaired by Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov, the issue of developing the gas industry was considered. Akim of the region Murat Ergeshbayev participated via conference call. At the meeting following the Government session, the progress of gasification works in the region was discussed.
«The Head of State has given instructions on the comprehensive development of energy, engineering, and transport-logistics infrastructure, and on increasing the coverage of settlements with blue fuel from nearly 65 percent to 80 percent. This is a critically important task for the regions.
Therefore, we must implement gasification projects in a timely and high-quality manner and achieve the established indicators»,- said Murat Nalkozhayevich.
The issue of stable provision of liquefied petroleum gas to residents was also considered at the meeting. The Regional Department of Entrepreneurship and Industry, as well as city and district akims, were tasked with monitoring the stable reserves of liquefied gas and the uninterrupted supply of blue fuel to residents.
In addition, new requirements regarding the sanitary cleanliness of settlements were discussed. It is necessary to widely explain to residents the model rules for the improvement of cities and settlements, which came into effect on July 1 of this year.
If facts of rule violations or environmental damage are identified, appropriate measures will be taken and accountability will be enforced in accordance with legislative requirements.
Gasification of settlements in the region is being carried out in stages. This year, 4.7 billion tenge has been allocated for the implementation of 14 projects. Among them are 2 transitional and 12 new projects. By the end of the year, it is planned to connect 10 settlements to natural gas. As a result, the level of gas coverage for the region's population will reach 85 percent.
A budget request of 19 billion tenge has been submitted to finance projects to be implemented in 2026–2027. If supported, gas will be supplied to another 16 settlements.
In addition, within the framework of the investment program of the joint-stock company «QazaqGaz Aimaq», the gasification of 6 settlements is planned.
