Brasília, July 8, 2026 – A meeting was held at the Embassy of Kazakhstan between Ambassador Bolat Nussupov and the leadership of the Federal Department of Traffic (DETRAN), represented by Marcus Minuzzi and João Paulo Rodrigues, as well as William Miller, the official representative of the International Association of Traffic Departments in South American countries (IACP).

During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in the field of road safety. Informational materials were presented, along with a presentation of Kazakhstan’s Sergek intelligent traffic monitoring system. The participants expressed interest in establishing cooperation with the Kazakh company Sergek in a number of areas and proposed holding follow-up negotiations in an online format.

Following the meeting, the Brazilian side invited the Embassy of Kazakhstan and Sergek to participate in the Cop International exhibition, which brings together government agencies and companies operating in the field of road safety and will be held in São Paulo in August this year.
