A longstanding tradition continues in the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan: twin brothers serve together in the same military unit. Today, around 40 pairs of twins are serving in law enforcement troops across the country, contributing to public safety and the maintenance of law and order.
Among them are Almas and Olzhas Suleimenov, who serve in an operational brigade in Astana, and Rostislav and Yaroslav Taran, who are serving in Military Unit 6636. Notably, both pairs are originally from the city of Pavlodar.
The Suleimenov brothers take part in maintaining public order in the capital, while the Taran brothers faithfully perform guard duties in their military unit. At first glance, it is difficult to tell the twins apart, but over time their fellow servicemen have learned to distinguish them by their personalities, manner of speaking, and individual traits.
According to Private Almas Suleimenov of Military Unit 5573, serving alongside his brother is especially meaningful.
"We have been together since childhood, and now we are fulfilling our military duty to our Motherland side by side. It is a great honor and an unforgettable chapter of our lives. We always support one another, overcome challenges together, and continue to grow. We are proud to serve our country shoulder to shoulder," said Private Almas Suleimenov.
The service of twin brothers in the National Guard is a vivid example of true brotherhood, unity, and devotion to the Motherland. Every day, they faithfully carry out their assigned duties while remaining true to the Military Oath. Their example once again demonstrates that serving the nation is not only an honorable duty but also a source of great pride.
