A Polyglot Soldier Serving in the National Guard Speaks Four Languages

A serviceman in Military Unit 5451 of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Karaganda can easily communicate with and answer questions from foreign visitors. Private Abbas Shamshiden is fluent in Kazakh, Russian, English, and Czech. He is also currently learning Chinese.
The polyglot soldier was involved in maintaining public order during the international Phygital Games of the Future 2026 in Astana. Today, he is back on duty in Karaganda. His ability to communicate with visitors from different countries became an important part of his service during such a major international event. Some tourists asked for directions, while others wanted to know where the competitions were being held. In such situations, Abbas's knowledge of several languages allowed him to provide assistance quickly and effectively.
Abbas Shamshiden's professional military training and knowledge of several foreign languages demonstrate that National Guard personnel are comprehensively trained and meet modern requirements. Their service at international events is aimed at ensuring public safety while also contributing to Kazakhstan's positive image by highlighting the country's hospitality and the high level of professionalism of its servicemen.
It should be noted that more than 7,000 National Guard servicemen currently perform daily public-order duties in 21 cities across the country. They ensure security in the streets, at crowded public venues, and at important state facilities, while helping prevent offenses and maintain public safety.
