Laboratories, certification bodies, and inspection organizations in Kazakhstan have begun to undergo part of their mandatory assessments remotely. The National Accreditation Center of the CTRM MTI RK has already conducted 32 remote assessments, confirming that the digital format allows maintaining a high level of objectivity, independence, and quality of procedures.
 
The transition to remote assessment has become the next stage in the digitalization of the national accreditation system. The new mechanism reduces time and organizational costs for businesses, lowers the administrative burden, and contributes to more efficient use of public resources. At the same time, the key principles of accreditation remain unchanged, such as independence, competence, and reliability of results.
 
As experts note, in 2026, remote assessment is being conducted in a pilot mode during the second scheduled assessments. As early as 2027, the National Accreditation Center plans to expand the practice and extend the remote format to all scheduled assessments.
 
At the same time, conducting assessments in a remote format is not mandatory. This mechanism is applied only to accreditation entities that meet the established criteria and have the necessary technical capabilities for remote interaction.
 
To implement the new format, the Center has developed a set of methodological documents, including the working instruction «Remote Assessment», recommendations for assessors, and a feedback questionnaire for accreditation entities. This will ensure a unified, transparent, and clear approach to conducting remote assessments, as well as improve the mechanism based on practical experience and feedback from process participants.
