Understanding Abai is not only the study of the life and work of one individual, but also a spiritual path leading to self-discovery, weighing one's thoughts, and realizing one's responsibility to the people.

As part of this spiritual continuity, the team led by the Head of the Department of Internal State Audit for the city of Astana, Orazbai Murat Askarovich, held an educational event dedicated to "Abai Day" on August 10 at the Mukhtar Auezov Central City Library.

The honored guest who graced the meeting was Almakhan Mukhametkalikyzy, an Abai scholar, member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan, poetess, and writer.

She focused on little-known aspects of Abai's life and work, presenting information and historical events rarely found in literary works. This meeting, which allowed a fresh perspective even on things familiar from "The Path of Abai," sparked the interest of the staff and turned into a free exchange of opinions.

At the end of the meeting, the Head of the Department expressed gratitude to Almakhan Mukhametkalikyzy for the deep immersion into Abai's world and instructive reflections, and presented her with the new Basic Law – the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The great thinker's precept "Ғылым таппай мақтанба" has not lost its significance even after centuries. Self-knowledge, deep thinking, and the elevation of humanity are noble values whose meaning only deepens over time, despite the change of eras.
