KazAID and KOICA Launch Second Phase of Joint Digital Transformation Program for Central Asia

From 10th to 22nd August, 2025, the second phase of the joint program implemented by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in cooperation with the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development "KazAID" titled "Capacity Building for Digital Transformation and Cooperation in Central Asia" is taking place at the KOICA International Cooperation Center in Seongnam, South Korea.
The event is attended by 14 representatives from various ministries of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan.
From the Korean side, experts in public administration and digital transformation - professors from Korea University and Yonsei University - serve as program speakers to share Korean experience and knowledge in this field. The program includes lectures and practical workshops on strategic implementation, further development of e-government and artificial intelligence (AI), as well as open data and integration.
KazAID is represented at the event by Program Project Manager Ainur Tuimebekova, who delivered a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony. She spoke about the successful launch of the "Capacity Building for Digital Transformation and Cooperation in Central Asia" program at Astana Hub in 2025 in Astana, which featured leading Kazakh experts from "National Information Technologies" JSC and invited specialists from South Korea under the signed Memorandum of Understanding between KazAID and KOICA.
