At the meeting, Aktobe youth asked the governor of the region their questions, made suggestions and shared new initiatives aimed at the development of the region.

The meeting was held within the framework of a festive evening dedicated to the International Youth Day "Youth is the power of a new era" and the National Youth campaign "together with Zhastar".

The open dialogue platform was attended by active youth of the region – volunteers, entrepreneurs, athletes, students, representatives of culture, education and IT industries, members of youth organizations and public associations. Young people presented their projects and achievements, made proposals to contribute to the development of Aktobe region.

Opening the meeting, Askhat Shakharov congratulated Aktobe youth on the International Youth Day and noted their great contribution to the development of the country and the region.

"Young people are about 30% of the population of our region. This is a great potential and a great responsibility. You contribute to the development of the region through education, entrepreneurship, sports, culture, volunteering and Public Works. The state provides young people with new opportunities and creates conditions for their active participation in social and political life. The approval of the 30% quota for young people in kurultai and maslikhats is a real manifestation of trust in you.

We also systematically implement measures to support young people in the region. Attention is paid to all areas, from education to employment, from the housing program "AQTOBE JASTARY" to support youth initiatives.

The most important thing is how you use these opportunities. The new constitution established the principle of equal opportunities in society. Now it's your turn. Modernity is the age of knowledge and skills. Therefore, constantly search and master new technologies. Try to come up with fresh ideas without fear of responsibility. Direct your knowledge, efforts and abilities to the development of your native land. I am sure that the future of Aktobe region largely depends on your initiative and work," the head of the region said.
