Efforts to modernize urban infrastructure remain actively underway in Kostanay. During a recent working visit, progress on road repair projects and the expansion of the stormwater drainage system was inspected. This year, 5.5 billion tenge has been allocated to develop the city's street and road network, covering approximately 28 kilometers of roadways.

Routine maintenance is now fully complete, while medium repairs, the reconstruction of Narimanov Street, and courtyard renovations continue. Main road construction works are scheduled for completion in September.

Additionally, as part of upgrading the city's 110-kilometer stormwater drainage network, tasks across 44 sections have been executed this year. Particular attention has been given to Karbyshev Street, where road resurfacing is progressing alongside the construction of new storm drains and the clearing of existing lines. In the Gorgaz area, additional pumping equipment was installed to ensure unobstructed drainage of rainwater and snowmelt, significantly reducing the risk of flooding.
