Jeddah, August 26, 2026 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, Madiyar Menilbekov, participated in a meeting of senior officials held at the headquarters of the OIC General Secretariat as part of preparations for the 23rd Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.

The primary focus of the discussion was the consideration of draft resolutions under the standing agenda item on Palestine and Al-Quds Ash-Sharif. During the proceedings, diplomats centered their attention on issues of international support, stabilizing the situation, and ensuring the rights of the Palestinian people based on international law and relevant UN resolutions.

Following the meeting, officials approved the draft report and the work program for the upcoming ministerial session. In addition to the key issue of Palestine, the agenda for the CFM meeting also includes an item on the election of the Secretary-General of the OIC.
