Kazakhstan and OTP Bank discussed new opportunities to expand mutually beneficial cooperation

Budapest, 26 August 2026 – Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Hungary A.Bakytbekkyzy held a meeting with Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Head of the Commercial Banking Division of OTP Bank Mr. L.Wolf.
During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues related to OTP Bank's interest in Kazakhstan's banking sector and prospects for further developing Kazakhstan-Hungary cooperation in the banking and financial sector, as well as opportunities to expand OTP Bank's presence in the Kazakh market.
The Ambassador-designate highlighted Kazakhstan's interest in engaging leading Hungarian financial institutions in the implementation of the country's priority economic development areas. Particular attention was paid to creating favorable conditions for the operations of foreign banks, expanding financial cooperation, and supporting investment projects between the two countries.
A.Bakytbekkyzy noted that Kazakhstan regards Hungary as one of its important financial and economic partners in Central Europe and is interested in further strengthening practical cooperation with the Hungarian business community.
Following the meeting, the sides confirmed their readiness to continue constructive dialogue and contribute to the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Kazakhstan and OTP Bank.
