Kazakhstan’s Model of Supporting Gender Equality and Measures to Protect the Rights of Women and Children Discussed in Serbia

  1. Belgrade, August 26, 2026 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan Bolat Imanbayev held a meeting with Serbia’s Minister for Gender Equality Tamara Mаcura.

    During the meeting, the Kazakh diplomat briefed the Serbian side on the elections to the Kurultai, as well as on the large-scale constitutional and political reforms being implemented in Kazakhstan.

    T. Macura highly commended Kazakhstan’s state policy aimed at providing comprehensive support to women and strengthening the institution of the family. In turn, she presented Serbia’s experience in expanding women’s economic and political rights and opportunities.

    The sides emphasized the importance of exchanging experience in the field of protecting the rights of women and children and expressed their interest in further developing and strengthening bilateral cooperation in this area.

    The Serbian Minister extended an invitation to the Kazakh side to participate in the Belgrade Women’s Conference: Rise 2026, an international women’s conference to be held on October 7, 2026, in Belgrade.
