Brasília, August 26, 2026 – A meeting was held at the Government of the Federal District of Brazil’s capital between Ambassador of Kazakhstan Bolat Nussupov and Secretary for International Affairs, Paco Britto.

During the meeting, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan briefed his counterpart on the ongoing public administration reforms in the country, as well as the large-scale transformations of Kazakhstan’s political system in the context of the results of the parliamentary elections to the unicameral Kurultai. The parties also discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, in particular the expansion of cooperation between the capitals of the two countries.

During the meeting, the Brazilian side highly appreciated the proactive diplomatic activities of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Brazil. Secretary Paco Britto specifically noted the Embassy’s effective mission and its valuable contribution to strengthening and expanding bilateral relations, as well as to the development of the Federal District community.

At the conclusion of the meeting, on behalf of the Governor of the Federal District, Ms. Selina Leao, Ambassador Bolat Nussupov was solemnly presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for his active diplomatic mission in the capital and contribution to strengthening cooperation with the Federal District.
