The international conference "Resource support of the livestock complex to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of Central Asian countries" is being held in Almaty.
The event was organized in the interests of veterinary services and representatives of major investment projects in the livestock industry of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
For two days, participants will discuss topical topics related to the modern model of automation of veterinary laboratories using digital solutions, modern approaches to equipping professional sites to improve the safety of keeping farm animals, effective monitoring of the health status of farm animals during inspection.
Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerbol Taszhurekov spoke about the development of the livestock industry.
Taking into account the priority of the industry's development, this year the Ministry of Agriculture expanded the list of areas of the preferential lending program, which includes projects on meat farming. This creates conditions for the implementation of investment projects. For these purposes, the volume of financing will be increased by 2 times and will amount to 200 billion tenge in 2025.
In general, the domestic meat market is fully secured today, and the further development of the industry is associated with the export of products.
However, there are a number of issues that need to be addressed. This is due to the small-scale and low technological availability of most livestock enterprises. The issues of full-fledged feeding of agricultural animals have not been fully resolved, which ultimately affects the productivity and cost of manufactured products.
Realizing the importance of solving these issues, the Government of the country pays special attention to the development not only of the agricultural sector as a whole, but also of animal husbandry separately.
