The IX Republican Forum of Fathers "Tarbieh tal besikten" ("Education begins from the cradle") was held in Kyzylorda with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The regional leaders of the Republican Union of Fathers, representatives of the intelligentsia, experts in the field of family policy, representatives of international organizations, local executive bodies, NGOs took part - about 200 people in total. The topic of the meeting was determined based on the orientations set by the Head of State in his Message.
"As you know, in the current Message, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that "parents are responsible for preschool education and training along with the state." The family is the main source of formation of the values of the younger generation. This is a basic social institution, the functioning of which directly affects the welfare and stability of the state," said Birzhan Alimzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Youth and Family Affairs of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, welcoming the participants of the forum.
The purpose of the forum is to develop the institute of fathers and the family, to determine the importance of the role of fathers in the upbringing of children, as well as to share experiences in parenting.
The program included panel sessions on the following topics: "The role of the father in shaping the image of a man: responsibility, courage, respect", "Family and security", "Conscious parenthood", "The importance of sports and health for men".
Also, each participant of the fathers forum received as a gift a book by the Kazakh author, editor-in-chief of Forbes Kazakhstan magazine Bakytzhan Bukarbai "Zamanmen sanaskan 30 akenin hikayasy". This is a collection of personal stories and reflections of our contemporaries on parenting.
