The Cozy School project is an investment in the future of Kazakhstan, allowing children to grow, learn and succeed in conditions that meet modern standards. Dana Orazalina, director of secondary school No. 33 in Astana, shared her opinion on the “Cozy School” project, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
According to the speaker, for this purpose, a modern school for children was built in the Urker residential area by order of the Head of State.
“Our school is designed for 2 thousand students. All conditions have been created for high-quality education: modernly equipped classrooms, laboratories, a library with a reading room, a television studio, a spacious dining room, 4 gyms. Currently, more than 60 teachers work at the school, and more than 900 children are studying,” says Dana Orazalina.
A feature of this school, which operates in one shift, is the high possibility of implementing additional education in the form of clubs and creative sections. There is also a study circle, dombra, chess, sports sections, and additional lessons in various subjects. Currently, in order to comprehensively support children and prevent various crimes, these events are being held free of charge by the staff of the collective.
“Today, a parent support center has been opened at the school. The support center is called “School of Wisdom”. It provides various psychological assistance to parents. One of the main problems of modern schools is poor relations with the parent community, distrust of the school, and widespread condemnation of teachers by society. The center is trying to solve these problems together with parents. In addition, every Saturday there is a so-called “director's hour”. "There, parents who have little time due to work in the city will receive individual advice," says Dana Orazalina.
