The Ministers of Culture of Kazakhstan and France signed a number of important agreements on cooperation in the field of culture
16.11.2024 18:28:38 1078In Paris, on the eve of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to France, the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva met with the Minister of Culture of France Rashida Dati. The discussion was devoted to the prospects of expanding cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and France.
The Ministers noted significant progress in cultural relations, stressing the importance of mutual visits by the presidents of the two countries, which give new impetus to joint initiatives.
During the meeting, the parties signed a number of agreements, including a Declaration of Intent on cooperation in the field of museums and cultural heritage, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding between the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Hime Museum.
"The promotion and integration of the Kazakh historical and cultural heritage into the global humanitarian landscape is one of the priorities of the state's cultural policy," Aida Balayeva said.
It was also proposed to strengthen cooperation in the research field and organize internships for Kazakhstani specialists within the framework of the Courants du Monde program.
"I am glad that this state visit of President Tokayev to France provides for a wide range of cultural issues. We are signing several memoranda today, which indicates that there is already quite close cooperation between us. But also the organization of the national exhibition of Kazakhstan at the Guimet Museum shows the concreteness and effectiveness of our relations,” French Culture Minister Rashida Dati said.
Aida Balayeva expressed confidence that the agreements reached will contribute to the further deepening of cultural ties and create the basis for new joint projects that strengthen relations between Kazakhstan and France.
"We can consider the possibilities of cooperation in conducting joint cultural events: in the field of joint film production, in the mutual presentation of modern Kazakh literature in France and vice versa, in the interaction of concert organizations and regarding children's content," Balayeva added.
Issues of exchange of experience in the field of museum expertise, preservation of historical heritage and introduction of new technologies into museum business were discussed.
The ministers of both countries also expressed interest in cooperation in the creative industry, in particular, in the field of fashion. Aida Balayeva suggested focusing on ethnic fashion and its representation on global platforms.
