At the initiative of the school management and with the support of the education department, "Small Nomad Games" were held among 5 national teams of students in grades 9-11 of schools in the Astrakhan region on the basis of the Petrovka village school in the Astrakhan region. The idea for the regional-scale event was the holding of the World Nomad Games.
The school administration took a responsible approach to the organization of the event. The logo and flag of the games were designed. The teachers decorated the school in the national style. Since the morning, kozhe-time and bauyrsak-party have been waiting for guests and participants.
The competitions were held in 6 directions: "Togyz kumalak", "Asyk ata", "Bes asyk", "Arkan tartys", "Mas-wrestling", "Koi koteru".
Also, demonstrations were demonstrated in such sports as "kazaksha kures", "lifting weights", "archery".
The guests of honor of the event were representatives of the Tolagai National Sports Federation, PR manager Anuar Makhmetov, a native of Petrovka village, world champion and record holder in armlifting and powerlifting Arman Suleiman, who demonstrated strength abilities, thereby inspiring his students to new sporting achievements with his example.
According to the record holder, the "Small Nomad Games" were held in Kazakhstan for the first time. Arman Suleyman expressed hope that in the future they will help promote national sports among young people.
"Participating in the small games of our district nomads, I saw with my own eyes interesting contests that I had not known about before. After watching the World Nomad Games, my interest in archery grew. I started learning archery with my father. At the opening ceremony today, I showed what I have learned. I had the opportunity to better understand the rich heritage of the nomads and feel their bravery and skill," said a student of the 4th grade of OOSH S.Petrovka Dinmuhammad Ardakuly.
As a result, the nomads from the Astrakhan school became the champions in the team competition, the second place was taken by schoolchildren from Zhaltyr, the three leaders were closed by the Koluton high school team.
"All schools in the district are covered by national sports. There are more than 40 clubs. Competitions in besyk, togyzkumalak, asyk ata are constantly held. The total coverage of school students in sports is 91%," said Polina Barakhoeva, head of the Astrakhan Department of Education.
