In Astana, pensioners who have gone on a well-deserved vacation spend their time usefully, visiting the Active Longevity Center daily. The center is visited by more than 12,000 people, of whom more than 3,000 have chosen wellness clubs, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.

The unique center, which unites pensioners, has such clubs and sections as physical therapy, yoga, breathing exercises "qigong", dancing, Nordic walking, art therapy, occupational therapy, English, Kazakh, computer courses, chess, togyzkumalak, vocal circles.
One of the visitors is 84–year-old Sholpan Syzdykova. The pensioner said that since she started visiting the center, she has found time for herself and is monitoring her health.
"I have been visiting the center regularly for the last two years. My knees and lower back used to hurt. When I arrived here, my sleep returned to normal and my blood pressure leveled off. At first, I went to physical therapy and togyzkumlak. However, since this is what I do without moving in place, I changed the mugs. Currently, I come 3 days a week," Sholpan Syzdykova said.
Astana resident Asemgul Abatova is one of those in this center who takes part in various events and usefully spends time with her contemporaries.
"I go to Aikune gymnastics, English language courses and togyzkumalak club. I really like it. It is very useful for improving our health and developing our thinking. The center has many advantages. Because here one group is engaged in drawing, for example, the other is dancing. The main thing is that everyone spends time with pleasure doing what they love. To communicate with others at a basic level, when traveling abroad, we must know English. That's why I'm taking an English course. Classes are very interesting, our teacher explains the new information in simple language. Here we learn to communicate with each other. The staff of the center conducts any event at a high level," a visitor to the center shared her opinion.
To date, more than 13 thousand pensioners in Astana visit such centers and receive services.

"Grandmothers-masters of the center presented their crafts with their own hands at an exhibition in the ethnoaul at the 5th World Nomad Games, which took place from September 8 to 13. In particular, such types of national products as kimeshek, shawls and robes, turbans, rugs, blankets, bags, necklaces, dolls, souvenirs, etc. were presented at the exhibition. I sold handmade items and earned 500 thousand tenge," Roza Makhmetovna said.

"Here, the capital's pensioners, in addition to an active lifestyle, can usefully spend their free time. So come and sign up for free mugs," added Rosa Mausymbaeva.
