Due to adverse weather conditions, snowstorms, strong winds and limited visibility, according to JSC NC KazAvtoZhol, traffic was closed and restricted on 10 sections of highways of national importance in 5 regions.
In Aktobe, Akmola, Kostanay, Zhambyl, Turkestan regions, the movement of all types of vehicles is closed.
A hotline number 8 (7172) 70-41-14 has been opened in the Command Center for Strategic Planning and Operational Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as in the Emergency Situations Department of the Akmola region 8(7162) 52-09-50.
It should be noted that during the period of storm warnings and worsening weather conditions, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan recommends the following:
- avoid long-distance trips;
- residents of rural areas should refrain from long-distance hiking;
- do not leave the settlements;
- do not create clusters of vehicles at the places of road closures;
- if possible, stay in populated areas, campgrounds or roadside cafes.
