The V International conference on "Public Trust and Social Capital" was held in Almaty.
At the event, the speakers presented the results of sociological research conducted within the framework of updating the Concept of Civil Society Development, and talked about the work aimed at strengthening citizens' trust in the state.
Since April of this year, in order to implement the principles of openness and transparency, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Public Control" has entered into force.
In 2025, 80% of the composition of Public Councils will be renewed due to the end of their term of office. As part of this work, it is planned to hold about 20 training seminars with the participation of more than 3,000 members of the Public Council.
The conference was attended by representatives of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the UN Department of Global Communications, international and Kazakhstani public figures, government officials and other participants.
