A delegation led by First Deputy Akim of Turkestan region Zulpyhar Zholdasov visited Turkey as part of a working trip and met with Firuz Baglikaya, President of the TURSAB Tourism Association.
The meeting discussed ways to develop cooperation in the field of tourism. Zulpikhar Zholdasov familiarized the Turkish side with the tourism potential of the Turkestan region and spoke about the work carried out to attract Turkish tourists to the region.
"Direct flights from Turkestan have been opened, new hotels are being built. The region is developing not only pilgrimage tourism, but also other destinations. Our task is to increase the interest of Turkish tourists in Turkestan," said the head of the regional delegation.
Firuz Baglikaya, President of the TURSAB Association, stressed that interest in Turkestan among Turkish citizens is high, and said that Turkish travel companies are ready to step up work in this direction.
In addition, the delegation of the region held a meeting with travel companies – members of the TURSAB association. At the meeting, the heads of companies such as BInrota turizm, Fly Express turizm, Seyir Travel, Dunya Degismeden, Everest Travel, Ejder turizm and others were presented with the tourism potential of Turkestan, as well as investment opportunities in the region.
Zulpikhar Zholdasov noted the active development of the tourism industry in the Turkestan region and spoke about new tourist sites in the region.
The purpose of the visit to Istanbul is to give a new impetus to economic and cultural ties between the two countries, paying special attention to creating conditions for attracting Turkish tourists to Turkestan.
Following the talks, a delegation of Turkish travel companies intends to take part in the upcoming forum of tour operators, which will be held in Turkestan.
It should be noted that the TURSAB Travel Association is the largest organization uniting about 16,000 travel companies in Turkey.
