Since the beginning of the year, the population of Kazakhstan has increased by 210,139 people. As of November 1, the total number of residents in the country was 20,243,981.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, Turkestan region is the leader in natural growth. The population of the region increased by 36,628 people. The next places are the cities of Shymkent (20,348 people) and Astana (19,258 people).
In the first ten months of the year, 309,310 babies were born in Kazakhstan. The highest birth rates were recorded in Turkestan and Mangystau regions.
