President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to take measures to eliminate the problems of spot construction and illegal construction, which worsen the environment, create traffic jams and reduce the comfort of life of citizens. The Anti-Corruption Service, together with the Akimat of Almaty, conducted an analysis of corruption risks in the construction sector and identified factors affecting the quality and safety of facilities. In order to eliminate them, proposals were made and an action plan was agreed upon. In pursuance of one of the points, the akimat has developed the "urban planning regulations and rules of construction of the city" approved by the Maslikhat. The documents regulate the use of territories, taking into account the sustainable development of the city, standards of safe construction and seismic risks. As part of the "law and order" report, the anti-corruption service organized meetings with developers, deputies of maslikhats, NCE "Atameken" and experts. Legislative norms, mechanisms for their implementation and measures to prevent corruption risks were discussed. The developers have received clarifications on current issues. According to individual proposals, it was decided to send written appeals to the akimat for further consideration. Kazakhstan to Build Largest Hyperscale Data Centers 05.04.2025
As part of the AlmatyFair.ai exhibition, a signing ceremony was held for an investment agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and Singapore-based GK Hyperscale Ltd for the construction and operation of two hyperscale data centers. The agreement was signed by Kazakhstan’s Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry, Zhaslan Madiev, and the CEO of GK Hyperscale Ltd, Michael Dickerson.The construction of the data centers will attract $1.5 billion in investments, with a total IT capacity of 200 MW. The data centers will comply with the Tier 3 standard.These data centers will serve as the foundation for the development of cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing (HPC). The project will create more than 360 highly skilled jobs, while the share of local content will amount to at least $1.2 billion, covering the procurement of goods and services from domestic companies.According to Zhaslan Madiev, at least 50% of the data centers' revenue is expected to come from export contracts."A project of this scale and quality will help attract international tech giants such as Microsoft, Google, and Amazon, as well as companies working with big data and artificial intelligence. A Solemn Evening Dedicated to International Theatre Day Took Place 05.04.2025
A solemn evening dedicated to International Theatre Day was held at the Biken Rimova Drama Theatre in Taldykorgan. This significant event, celebrating the art of theatre, gathered cultural figures, honored guests, and art enthusiasts.The Head of the Department of Culture, Archives, and Documentation of the Zhetysu region, Kuanysh Suleimenov, attended the event to congratulate theatre professionals on their special day. During the ceremony, he read a congratulatory letter from the deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and presented letters of appreciation from the international organization TÜRKSOY.Additionally, theatre actors received awards from the Zhetysu Regional Maslikhat, the Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency for the Zhetysu region, the Zhetysu Regional Police Department, and the regional branch of the «AMANAT» party.The event was also attended by representatives of the Union of Theatre Workers of Kazakhstan and the Association of Theatres of Kazakhstan, who recognized the best artists. Among the distinguished guests was Saule Akhmediyeva, Chairperson of the Sectoral Trade Union of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Information Workers for Almaty and the Zhetysu region. As part of the evening, Mahmutzhan Bedelbayev was awarded the «Labor Glory» order.Theatre actors delivered outstanding performances, captivating the audience and leaving a lasting impression.
