The results of the socio-economic development of the Medeu district of Almaty for the past year show positive dynamics. This was announced by the mayor of the metropolis, Yerbolat Dossayev, during a meeting with residents of the district.According to the mayor, the number of operating business entities increased by 5.2% to 46.2 thousand. In 2024, a new school for 600 places was opened in Ust-Kamenogorsk, and this year two more schools for 500 places are planned to be built. In addition, the construction of five comfortable schools for 2,100 places has been completed, and the construction of two schools for 900 places is ongoing.The school infrastructure is also being upgraded. Canteens, libraries and classrooms have been renovated in 50 schools. All schools are connected to the Internet, and 109 schools will be included in the "Social Wallet" system. This initiative will allow low-income families to receive state support for the purchase of school uniforms and school supplies.In the 2023-2024 academic year, 2.6 billion tenge was attracted from sponsors to the education sector. This year, 21 schools in the region will undergo major repairs. In addition to medical treatment, drug addicts are provided with psychological assistance.
