Meeting Between Kazakhstan’s Minister of Justice Erlan Sarsembayev and Estonia’s Minister of Justice and Digital Development Liisa Pakosta 17.11.2025

Between the Ministries of Justice of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, a cooperation program has been signed 16.11.2025
14–15 November 2025, during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Tokayev to the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Programme of Cooperation for 2026–2027 was signed with the aim of strengthening collaboration between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.The Programme provides for interaction in the field of intellectual property, research and exchange of experience in the digitalization of forensic expertise, as well as issues related to the digitalization of notarial services and other areas.The signing of this bilateral document will become an important step in further strengthening the foundations of cooperation previously established and will contribute to expanding partnership between the two institutions.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/adilet/press/news/details/1106092?lang=kk

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev asked the newly created Working Group to carefully study all aspects and make recommendations on establishing mutually beneficial cooperation. The Head of State also emphasized the strategic nature of expanding integration in the transport and transit sector. In particular, measures have been taken to optimize tariffs, reduce administrative barriers, develop border infrastructure, and modernize checkpoints. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev believes that the governments of both countries need to create favorable conditions for all participants in the logistics chain and solve infrastructure, regulatory, and institutional challenges. In addition, the Head of State noted that it is urgent to continue effective cooperation in the development of the Trans-Caspian international transport route, the North-South corridor, as well as the railway route through Afghanistan. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called on the Uzbek side to establish a partnership and implement logistics projects at the ports of Aktau and Kuryk in order to jointly develop the Trans-Caspian international transport route. The President of Kazakhstan noted that constructive cooperation in the water and energy sectors is of great importance, since the rational use of water resources of transboundary rivers is one of the main factors contributing to the sustainable progress of both countries. On this occasion, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev proposed that the governments of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan develop systematic measures to coordinate approaches to water management policy.
