Law students of the Kazakhstan-American Free University (KAU) held a trial trial on the topic of domestic violence within the framework of the principle of "Law and order" and made their decisions.Since the beginning of the year, the regional youth resource center has been organizing various meetings, gatherings, trainings and seminars for the youth of the region on socially important topics such as the fight against drugs, ludomania, and domestic violence. One of such large-scale events was a legislative discussion of the domestic violence issue by the students of KAEU.- This event is held under the theme "Law and Order". Its purpose is to prevent domestic violence and increase the legal literacy of young people. Through the open court process, we try to present the actual problem in the society to the students in an understandable and practical way, - said Yermek Askarov, a specialist of the Youth Resource Center of SKO. They defended their rights within the framework of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and tried to prove their theoretical conclusions.- We aim to increase students' legal literacy by combining theoretical knowledge with practice by holding a training-judicial process. In addition, we will try to study and explain what programs are used in the country related to violence, - said Kairat Alimbayev, head of the Department of Law and International Relations of KAU.Students noted that such practical lessons are useful. They shared the roles of defense attorney, prosecutor, and judge during the court process and analyzed real situations.- Such practical lessons teach us a lot. Last time I played the role of a judge, this time I am sitting in the place of the defendant.
