At the same time, ensuring the safety of city residents is at the forefront. For this purpose, it is planned to install 585 video cameras to monitor public order and 136 "Sergek" cameras to ensure road safety. It is planned to launch a situational center that will be able to monitor the life of the city around the clock in the "Smart City" format. In addition, street lighting will also be taken up. Today, only 420 of the 640 streets in the city, that is, 65 percent, have lighting. In this regard, 3.5 billion tenge is allocated from the local budget for street lighting this year. Thanks to this, streets will be illuminated in a number of summer cottages and in the "Khutor", "Shygys" and other districts.At the same time, attention will be paid to making the city comfortable to live in. That is, the population must be provided with housing, heat, electricity, water, and gas. For example, last year, 1,283 families were provided with housing in Taldykorgan, and this year it is planned that the number of people who will acquire housing will reach about 1,500.The beauty of the city is directly related to landscaping. Victor Ryzhkov, a 10th grade student at the Aleksandrov school in the Kostanay district, under the guidance of his teacher Vitaly Bazarkin, developed an innovative project called “Smart Bridge” to prevent bridges from collapsing in the event of a sharp rise in water levels during floods.According to Victor, the idea came to him during the floods that caused significant damage in his native Kostanay district and other regions of Kazakhstan in the spring of 2024.“Smart Bridge” is an automated system that raises a bridge using sensors that respond to the threshold water level and an Arduino programmable microcontroller.“My goal is to create a system that helps people and infrastructure prepare for floods. The project went through several stages, we had difficulties in choosing a lifting mechanism, but we were able to successfully implement our idea,” Viktor Ryzhkov noted.The system shows great potential for use in real situations.
