Karabalyk district is confidently completing 11 months of 2025, demonstrating stable development of key sectors of the economy. Financial indicators, the pace of agricultural production, the renovation of infrastructure and the implementation of significant social projects indicate positive dynamics and a good foundation for the future.This year, the district's budget amounted to 7 billion tenge. In its structure, a significant share is taken by transfers: 3.4 billion — republican, 3 billion — regional. However, the main indicator of economic activity was the over-fulfillment of the plan for own income.In January–November, the district received 2.9 billion tenge of revenue with a plan of 2.6 billion tenge. The execution amounted to 111.8%, which indicates an increase in tax revenues and an increase in the efficiency of financial flow management.Small and medium-sized businesses: almost every entrepreneur is in businessEntrepreneurial activity in the Karabalyk district remains high. To date, 1,418 SMEs have been registered here, and 99% of them actually work. This is one of the best indicators in the region, which confirms the favorable business climate.Small businesses continue to play an important role in providing employment and generating revenue for the budget, being the backbone of the local economy.Agriculture: productivity gains and investmentsThe agricultural sector has traditionally remained the leading one in the structure of the regional economy. This year, sowing operations covered 297.1 thousand hectares. Grain and leguminous crops were planted on an area of 194.5 thousand hectares, slightly less than in 2024, but the emphasis was on diversification.Special attention was paid to the expansion of areas under oilseed crops: their volume increased by 28%, reaching 73.3 thousand hectares. Fodder areas were also increased to 5.4 thousand hectares.The harvesting campaign has been completed completely and has brought tangible results. The average yield was 19.5 hundredweight per hectare, exceeding last year's figure. The gross grain harvest reached 379.3 thousand tons, which was a significant success for the region.In addition to seasonal work, investment activity is developing in the industry. Two major projects were launched in 2025.:construction of a workshop for the production of meat and bone meal with a capacity of up to 15 tons per day, the project cost is 680 million tenge;creation of a production complex for the production of mixed feed and silos for the storage of raw materials with a capacity of 108 thousand tons per year. On December 2, 2025, the head of the Internal Policy Department of the Akimat of the Zhitikarinsky district, M. A. Since the beginning of the heating period of 2025-2026, which started on October 1, 2025, 85 fires have been registered in the Kostanay region. Due to timely preventive measures and the active work of civil protection authorities, the situation remains stable.The main causes of fires are violations of the rules for the installation and operation of electrical equipment, improper installation and use of heating furnaces, careless handling of fire, as well as other and unidentified causes.A set of preventive measuresTo increase the level of fire safety, the Department of Emergency Situations of Kostanay region is implementing a Plan for preventive work in the residential sector for the heating period of 2025-2026.As part of the second stage of the fire safety month, a repeated 100% house-to-house inspection of socially vulnerable segments of the population was carried out.For reference:7,429 families are registered, including:3,165 large families,1,049 single pensioners,1,424 representatives of low mobility groups of the population,290 orphaned children.Types of heating:2,334 — central,3,261 — solid fuel,1,834 — gas.During the rounds, the basic rules of fire safety were explained to residents, QR codes with instructional videos were handed over, briefings and preventive conversations were conducted.Information work and public educationTo raise public awareness, the Emergency Department sends weekly SMS messages through the 112 number with reminders about the safe operation of heating systems. Audio clips and information messages about the rules of fire safety in everyday life are broadcast daily on TV and radio channels.Special attention is paid to the education of children and adolescents. Classroom hours and thematic classes on the safe handling of fire and household appliances were held in all educational organizations of the region.This year, 65,192 copies of visual materials aimed at preventing children's pranks with fire have been distributed. Conducted:1,139 interactive and open lessons (85,380 students enrolled),1,962 briefings,3,225 lectures and talks (over 104,000 students were enrolled).As part of the popularization of the profession of a rescuer and firefighter, 421 excursions to the Department's museum and fire stations were organized. Children are taught the rules of fire safety and the procedure for dealing with a fire.For practical skills training, 1,341 evacuation trainings were organized, in which more than 63,764 people took part.Support for socially vulnerable families and work with organizationsExplanatory work was carried out with the heads of organizations serving multi-family residential buildings to prevent unauthorized persons from accessing basements and attics.With the participation of local executive bodies and volunteers, the Department provided targeted assistance to socially vulnerable families. Today, a solemn event dedicated to the Day of Agricultural Workers was held in our region. The meeting brought together leading experts from the agricultural sector, representatives of business and local authorities.The governor of the region congratulated the countrymen on their professional holiday and stressed the importance of the work of rural workers. "Today we honor those who work for the benefit of their native land, value work and serve their country," he said.In his speech, the head of the region recalled the strategic objectives outlined by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the last forum in Astana. Special attention is paid to the development of agriculture as a key sector of the economy, the digital transformation of the agro-industrial complex, the modernization of infrastructure and the active involvement of business in rural development.Technical re-equipment of enterprises continues in Kostanay region, projects for processing agricultural products are being implemented. On behalf of the Head of State, new initiatives are being introduced to support agricultural enterprises. Thus, in 2025, 207 billion tenge was allocated to the industry, which is 60% more than last year and twice as much as in 2023. Thanks to government support, a record 7 million tons of grain were harvested, the highest figure in the last decade.The Preferential Leasing program has been successfully operating since 2024. This year, 250 billion tenge has been allocated in the republic, which allowed agricultural enterprises to purchase 960 pieces of machinery and equipment worth 34 billion tenge. By the end of 2025, the volume of gross agricultural output in the region will exceed 1 trillion tenge.The mayor stressed that the economy is based on people, and rural development should be comprehensive. In the last three years, about 254 billion tenge has been allocated from the regional budget to create comfortable conditions for villagers — twice as much as in the previous three years. As part of this work, high-quality drinking water is provided, houses, schools, kindergartens, medical institutions and sports facilities are being built.Separately, the head of the region noted the contribution of agricultural enterprises and entrepreneurs to the development of their native villages. Examples include Ayan—ozat LLP (Kostanay district), Alexandrovskoye LLP, Altynsarino LLP (Kamystinsky district), Miras Agricultural Complex (Uzunkol district), Frunzenskoye LLP (Denisovsky district). These enterprises are actively involved in landscaping, housing construction, sports and cultural infrastructure, introducing modern production technologies and increasing yields.Special attention is paid to the development of dairy cattle breeding and the construction of modern high-tech farms. From 2025 to 2027, 93 investment projects worth 383 billion tenge are planned to be implemented in the region, the creation of 11 fattening grounds, 16 irrigation projects and 3 vegetable storages, as well as 18 projects in the processing industry, which will provide about 3,000 new jobs."Your work always commands special respect.
