Astana, July 1, 2025 – Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Popșoi, who arrived in Astana on his first official visit.During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues pertaining to Kazakhstan-Moldova relations. In particular, they reviewed priority areas of political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation, as well as cultural and humanitarian interaction. Interest was expressed to continue the successful practice of interaction in the sphere of mutual investments on the example of long-term activity of Kazakh “Rompetrol” in Moldova and Moldovan dairy company “JLC Сүт” in Kazakhstan.The interlocutors agreed to pursue joint efforts to identify new areas of cooperation in agriculture, transport, industrial collaboration, and to explore opportunities in the digital economy, culture, and the humanitarian sphere.The ministers also “compared the notes” on pressing regional and global issues and reaffirmed their commitment to continue cooperation within international organizations. Astana, July 1, 2025 – Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu held a meeting with Almaz Alsenov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Harvest Group.The parties discussed the implementation of an investment project in the agricultural sector aimed at the gradual transfer of 300 thousand hectares of pasture and fallow lands into irrigated agricultural lands using groundwater and modern water-saving technologies. The project covers the Zhambyl, Almaty, Zhetysu, Aktobe, Pavlodar, Kyzylorda, and East Kazakhstan regions, with a total investment of 500 million US dollars in the first phase.Minister Nurtleu emphasized the importance of further promoting the project and expressed his readiness to provide government support. Не стал исключением и Костанайский региональный университет имени Ахмета Байтұрсынұлы, где сегодня прошла церемония вручения дипломов выпускникам.Это событие стало завершающим аккордом недельных торжеств, посвящённых окончанию учебного года. В 2024–2025 учебном году 2392 студента получили дипломы о высшем образовании. С момента основания вуз подготовил более 190 тысяч специалистов, внесших весомый вклад в развитие различных сфер экономики, образования, права и государственного управления. Выпускников, завершивших обучение, поздравил заместитель акима Костанайской области Бакытжан Нарымбетов. Turkish Company Plans to Invest in the Construction of Logistics Infrastructure in Kazakhstan 27.06.2025
Astana, June 27, 2025 – Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gabidulla Ospankulov, held a meeting with Hüseyin Barlin, Chairman of the Board of one of Turkiye’s leading logistics companies – S Sistem Lojistik.During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of investment projects in Kazakhstan, including the construction of a network of modern logistics and warehouse terminals with a total investment of approximately 100 million US dollars. The widespread use of drugs remains one of the most serious problems faced by all countries of the world. Drugs destroy people’s lives, serve as a source of profit for organized crime and terrorist organizations, and fuel instability in many regions of the world. According to the UN, more than 300 million people are addicted to drugs this year. The growing production of synthetic narcotic drugs is particularly dangerous.Kazakhstan supports the leading role of the UN in combating this global problem. Our country has joined all three UN conventions in the field of combating drugs. This year, for the fifth time, Kazakhstan was elected a member of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs for 2026-2029 and is making a significant contribution to the implementation of the global anti-drug strategy.Kazakh representatives actively participate in anti-drug operations under the auspices of the CIS, the CSTO and the SCO, interact with law enforcement agencies in Europe, Asia and the United States. Kostanay region increases the pace of construction 26.06.2025
In the first five months of 2025, the construction industry of Kostanay region has shown steady growth. As it was announced at a meeting of the akimat chaired by Akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov, the volume of construction and installation work increased by 57% compared to 2024 and amounted to 75.5 billion tenge.Special attention is paid to housing construction. Since the beginning of the year, 179.5 thousand square meters of housing have been commissioned, which is 1,810 apartments. New residential districts "Astana" and "Baiterek" are actively developing, where it is planned to build more than 150 houses with full infrastructure.During the meeting, the Governor of the region emphasized the quality of the environment:"During the construction of houses, special attention should be paid to landscaping. Playgrounds and sports grounds should be made of high-quality materials only. All structures are securely installed. I personally go around construction sites and ask all akims to monitor this. Public control is the most effective form," Kumar Aksakalov emphasized.The focus also remains on the development of social infrastructure. New schools, clinics, kindergartens and sports facilities have already been built in the region, including in rural areas. 15 more social facilities are planned to be commissioned by the end of the year.8.7 billion tenge has been allocated for engineering infrastructure, and work is underway in the Kunai, Bereke, Astana and Baiterek massifs. The production of building materials is actively developing: in five months the volume amounted to 18.5 billion tenge.Nurzhan Battalov, Director of My Eco House LLP, presented an interesting private initiative at the meeting. The company is engaged in the construction of energy-efficient houses from SIP panels — lightweight, warm and inexpensive structures."One 180-square house can be assembled in 10 days. We do not use special equipment, the foundations are small, and the materials are energy efficient. In Sarykolsky and Auliekolsky districts, we did not just build — the farm staff themselves built houses from our kits," Battalov said.In addition, an electronic housing queue is being introduced in the region through the Otbasy Bank portal, which makes the process more transparent and accessible to citizens.
