On December 2, 2025, the head of the Internal Policy Department of the Akimat of the Zhitikarinsky district, M. A. Dzhetenov, met with students at the Zhitikarinsky Polytechnic College.Within the framework of the republican environmental program "Taza Kazakhstan", the participants were presented the main directions of work on the improvement and sanitary maintenance of the district.This year, a set of measures has been implemented in the Zhitikarinsky district to green the city, repair monuments, install small architectural forms and develop street infrastructure.Landscaping has been completed, more than 3.8 thousand seedlings have been planted, sanitary pruning of trees has been carried out, unauthorized landfills have been eliminated, container sites have been installed and infrastructure for the removal of bulky waste has been created.The 109 call center is functioning in the city, thanks to which residents promptly report landscaping problems - over 800 requests have been received in 10 months.Special attention is being paid to the development of public spaces: playgrounds and sports grounds have been installed, a major renovation of a rural stadium has been completed, and work is underway to restore apartment buildings for socially vulnerable categories of citizens. The street lighting was upgraded and the pillars were painted.In 2025, 51 dilapidated buildings were dismantled, which is significantly higher than planned. Social partners also make a great contribution to the improvement — the district's enterprises actively support the renovation of monuments, the creation of alleys and public areas.Examples of schoolchildren's participation in the environmental program are highlighted separately. Brussels, December 1, 2025 – During his visit to Brussels, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev held a meeting with European Commissioner for International Partnerships Jozef Síkela.The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union, as well as interregional interaction between the EU and Central Asia.Special attention was paid to the outcomes of the high-level meetings held in Samarkand in April and in Tashkent in November. Brussels, December 1, 2025 – The 22nd meeting of the Kazakhstan – European Union Cooperation Council was held in Brussels under the chairmanship of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.The event carried special significance as it took place on the eve of the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (EPCA) between Kazakhstan and the European Union and its member states.The parties reviewed the results of a decade of strategic partnership between Astana and Brussels and exchanged views on its future development.It was reaffirmed that economic relations continue to be the key engine of cooperation. Since the beginning of the heating period of 2025-2026, which started on October 1, 2025, 85 fires have been registered in the Kostanay region. Due to timely preventive measures and the active work of civil protection authorities, the situation remains stable.The main causes of fires are violations of the rules for the installation and operation of electrical equipment, improper installation and use of heating furnaces, careless handling of fire, as well as other and unidentified causes.A set of preventive measuresTo increase the level of fire safety, the Department of Emergency Situations of Kostanay region is implementing a Plan for preventive work in the residential sector for the heating period of 2025-2026.As part of the second stage of the fire safety month, a repeated 100% house-to-house inspection of socially vulnerable segments of the population was carried out.For reference:7,429 families are registered, including:3,165 large families,1,049 single pensioners,1,424 representatives of low mobility groups of the population,290 orphaned children.Types of heating:2,334 — central,3,261 — solid fuel,1,834 — gas.During the rounds, the basic rules of fire safety were explained to residents, QR codes with instructional videos were handed over, briefings and preventive conversations were conducted.Information work and public educationTo raise public awareness, the Emergency Department sends weekly SMS messages through the 112 number with reminders about the safe operation of heating systems. Audio clips and information messages about the rules of fire safety in everyday life are broadcast daily on TV and radio channels.Special attention is paid to the education of children and adolescents. Classroom hours and thematic classes on the safe handling of fire and household appliances were held in all educational organizations of the region.This year, 65,192 copies of visual materials aimed at preventing children's pranks with fire have been distributed. Conducted:1,139 interactive and open lessons (85,380 students enrolled),1,962 briefings,3,225 lectures and talks (over 104,000 students were enrolled).As part of the popularization of the profession of a rescuer and firefighter, 421 excursions to the Department's museum and fire stations were organized. Children are taught the rules of fire safety and the procedure for dealing with a fire.For practical skills training, 1,341 evacuation trainings were organized, in which more than 63,764 people took part.Support for socially vulnerable families and work with organizationsExplanatory work was carried out with the heads of organizations serving multi-family residential buildings to prevent unauthorized persons from accessing basements and attics.With the participation of local executive bodies and volunteers, the Department provided targeted assistance to socially vulnerable families. Participants discussed key directions for modernizing social legislation, issues of labor protection, freedom of association, migrant rights, as well as the institutional development of social work as a professional field.In her opening remarks, Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alua Nadirkulova emphasized that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pays special attention to strengthening the status of social workers. The Social Code adopted in 2023 became an important step in this direction. She noted that the analysis includes a comprehensive review of existing legislation, assessment of its practical application, comparative analysis with international standards, and recommendations for their implementation. Deputy Director Bekenova emphasized that strengthening the professional community of social workers and creating a modern and stable legal framework are key conditions for the effective development of social work in Kazakhstan.International expert from the United States, Aitakin Huseinli, spoke about global trends and standards in social work, highlighting the need to integrate international approaches into national training programs. She noted that more than half of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals relate to social and economic issues, making the role of social workers essential in achieving these goals and building resilient support systems.Additionally, Professor of Law Muslim Khasenov presented recommendations on updating legislation related to freedom of association, labor protection, and the legal status of social sector specialists. He stressed that the current regulatory framework does not always meet modern requirements and Kazakhstan’s international commitments for protecting the rights of workers and vulnerable groups.Speaking about the right to peaceful assembly, the professor emphasized the need to legally establish a mediation procedure with the participation of a neutral mediator chosen by the parties in accordance with the Law “On Mediation.” This would help prevent conflicts, reduce social tension, and ensure a more civilized resolution of disagreements between the public and authorities.Head of the Alliance’s Almaty branch Zhanar Abdykhalykova, Alliance Deputy Director Ayagoz Aubakirova, and Head of the Kyzylorda branch Sandugash Ismagulova presented research results on supervision, professional standards, and the classification system of social professions.Through “supervision” – an internationally recognized system of professional support, the quality of social work improves across key areas: protection of women from domestic and gender-based violence, safeguarding children’s rights and developing the child protection system, and protecting the rights of persons with disabilities. The meeting brought together leading experts from the agricultural sector, representatives of business and local authorities.The governor of the region congratulated the countrymen on their professional holiday and stressed the importance of the work of rural workers. Special attention is paid to the development of agriculture as a key sector of the economy, the digital transformation of the agro-industrial complex, the modernization of infrastructure and the active involvement of business in rural development.Technical re-equipment of enterprises continues in Kostanay region, projects for processing agricultural products are being implemented. On behalf of the Head of State, new initiatives are being introduced to support agricultural enterprises. Thus, in 2025, 207 billion tenge was allocated to the industry, which is 60% more than last year and twice as much as in 2023. Thanks to government support, a record 7 million tons of grain were harvested, the highest figure in the last decade.The Preferential Leasing program has been successfully operating since 2024. This year, 250 billion tenge has been allocated in the republic, which allowed agricultural enterprises to purchase 960 pieces of machinery and equipment worth 34 billion tenge. By the end of 2025, the volume of gross agricultural output in the region will exceed 1 trillion tenge.The mayor stressed that the economy is based on people, and rural development should be comprehensive. In the last three years, about 254 billion tenge has been allocated from the regional budget to create comfortable conditions for villagers — twice as much as in the previous three years. As part of this work, high-quality drinking water is provided, houses, schools, kindergartens, medical institutions and sports facilities are being built.Separately, the head of the region noted the contribution of agricultural enterprises and entrepreneurs to the development of their native villages. Examples include Ayan—ozat LLP (Kostanay district), Alexandrovskoye LLP, Altynsarino LLP (Kamystinsky district), Miras Agricultural Complex (Uzunkol district), Frunzenskoye LLP (Denisovsky district). These enterprises are actively involved in landscaping, housing construction, sports and cultural infrastructure, introducing modern production technologies and increasing yields.Special attention is paid to the development of dairy cattle breeding and the construction of modern high-tech farms. From 2025 to 2027, 93 investment projects worth 383 billion tenge are planned to be implemented in the region, the creation of 11 fattening grounds, 16 irrigation projects and 3 vegetable storages, as well as 18 projects in the processing industry, which will provide about 3,000 new jobs."Your work always commands special respect.
