The protective structure along the river was cleared, a 2.6-kilometer dam was strengthened, new supports were installed over 1.4 kilometers, and shorelines were reinforced over 820 meters. In terms of economic diversification, last year, 21 investment projects worth 37 billion tenge were implemented in our region. This year, 33 new projects worth 288 billion. 600 million tenge are planned, creating about a thousand jobs. The share of roads in good condition reached 92 percent in 2024. This year, 329 kilometers of roads were repaired, exceeding the indicator by 95 percent. 98.6 percent of the population is covered by centralized drinking water, and this year we will bring this figure to 100 percent. The gas coverage rate is currently 78 percent, and by the end of the year it will be 82 percent.On December 9, 2024, we approved the regional budget for 2025 with you. Kazakhstan Senate ratifies agreement with Turkey on quarantine and plant protection 24.02.2025
The Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan ratified the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Quarantine and Plant Protection between the Governments of Kazakhstan and Turkey.This document, created to ensure phytosanitary safety and prevent the import of quarantine pests, provides for cooperation between scientific organizations on plant quarantine, exchange of information on new regulatory legal acts in the field of plant quarantine and national lists of quarantine pests.The agreement also specifies the requirements for imported batches of quarantine products, accompanying documents and transit conditions for transported goods.According to Vice Minister of Agriculture Yermek Kenzhekhanuly, mainly nuts, tomatoes, peppers, apples, citrus seedlings, fruit and flower crops are imported from Turkey. The main quarantine products exported from Kazakhstan are almost all grain (wheat, barley, oats, sunflower) and leguminous (beans, lentils, chickpeas) crops.Over the past three years, about 700 thousand tons of crop products have been exported to Turkey, while the volume of imports amounted to more than 40 thousand tons of various agricultural crops and 2.7 million pieces of planting and seed material.“During this period, 76 attempts were made to import products that do not meet phytosanitary requirements, and in 6 of them, quarantine objects were identified. A citizen of Turkmenistan was taken to the Shymkent City Clinical Hospital No. 1 in serious condition by ambulance. Depending on the injury and health condition, doctors performed several operations on the 27-year-old patient.First, the patient underwent surgery to stop internal bleeding due to a ruptured liver. After the liver function improved, orthopedic surgery was performed and fixation was applied to the fractured leg.Also, during the examination, a blood clot was detected in the patient.
