A new rehabilitation center was opened on the basis of the children's regional hospital with the participation of Akim of North Kazakhstan Gauez Nurmukhambetov and Deputy Chairman of the Kazakhstan Halkyna Foundation Lazzat Chinkisbayeva. The center underwent major repairs at the expense of the budget, and the material and technical equipment was financed by the Kazakhstan Khalqyna Foundation.
The Center provides comprehensive medical, social, psychological and pedagogical assistance to children with neuro-orthopedic disorders. Modern expert-class rehabilitation equipment from the world's leading brands has been installed. Rehabilitologists, neurologists, physical therapy instructors, speech therapists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists and psychologists work with children.
"There are about 2.3 thousand children with special needs in the region. The new center will cover about 2 thousand children annually. I would like to emphasize that each child will undergo several rehabilitation courses to achieve the desired positive result. In general, the opening of the rehabilitation center will significantly increase the coverage of children who need rehabilitation treatment," said the head of the region.
